In August of 2006, Georgia Sam was between worlds. They had not had a steady guitar player for months, as Eli had moved to Beijing and a few replacements had not worked out. In August, both Hot Carl and Knut were traveling in their respective countries, and Nate's presence in China was intermittent. During this time, Rindy booked the band at the newly-reopened Tang Hui, now on Changshu Lu, on Monday nights. Chen Song, the drummer for Crystal Butterfly, filled in for Knut, and the band was introduced to Xiao Jin, an excellent jazz/blues (blues/jazz?) bassist, who played on half the shows. This was also the period in which Lukas started playing with the band, and when the band met Rory (through Lukas). This volume features Eli on guitar, Lukas on keys, Chen Song on drums, Nate on bass, and Rory on trumpet (on Play the Blues).
